Monday: In a 5 paragraph journal, describe you 'stupid talent' like the two antagonists in the book. Or, if you don't have one, do you know someone who does? You will be graded on Mechanics and Word Choice. Click here. for information and rubric on the puzzle. Wednesday: In a 5 paragraph journal, explain which character you can most relate to. Do you find yourself more like Nadia, Noah, Ethan or Julian? Explain. You will be graded on Mechanics and Support. Friday: No Class due to half day. Wear your Burkina soccer shirt if you have one! |

Grade 6 Social Studies:

Tuesday: Today is our last work day in the computer lab. This is for last minute research and corrections. There will be no other homework assigned in Social Studies, however, it is expected that for each class day you will spend 30 minutes working on your exam proejct. Thursday: Today in class we worked on oral presentations. Be sure you are using the rubric to help you know how to give an oral presentation. Practice, practice, practice. Calendar Events:
May 22 - Last day to work in the computer lab - last minute research, typing, correcting. May 24 - Work on oral presentations of the exam paper. Week of May 28-June 1 - Exam presentations begin. Students who are leaving before the end of school will begin first, followed by those who have signed up to present early. See the sign up sheet in class. Week of June 4-7 - Exam week. Students will present their exam project during the scheduled LA and SS exam time. All students are required to attend, even if they have already given their oral presentations.

Week of June 4-7 - Exam week. The final 8 students will present their books during the scheduled LA exam time. All students are required to attend, even if they have already presented their book.
